Blackberry Thunder

Blackberry Thunder Review
The BlackBerry Thunder is an all touchscreen mobile phone that is a little different than what you’ll find with many touchscreen phones. With this 3G touchscreen mobile you can accidentally touch the screen and nothing will happen, you actually have to push down on the screen like it is a button before it will be activated; this is known as ClickThrough technology.
With the BlackBerry Thunder 9500 you get a truly innovative handset that can hold its own against the Apple iPhone. Due to the fact that with this new ClickThrough technology you do actually have to push the screen and remove your finger before hitting the next command or letter when typing, it can be a little tricky and difficult to get accustomed to. Once you do become familiar with using this type of touchscreen it is really nice, though some may not like it much.
One nice feature of the BlackBerry 9500 Thunder is its QWERTY keyboard, which makes it easy to type out text messages and email; there is also an accelerometer sensor so that you can use the phone in either landscape or portrait mode.
Surfing the Internet is also fairly simple with the Thunder BlackBerry; the browser that comes included with this handset is even better for viewing web pages than the browser on the BlackBerry Bold. One problem that some people may have with the Thunder is that it does not have WiFi, which is a mystery, considering the class of this mobile. Fortunately the Thunder does come with Bluetooth technology.
The BlackBerry Thunder is definitely a stylish and futuristic looking handset; it has a 3.25-inch screen, which provides a fantastically clear and crisp picture. You also get an audio and video player that supports a wide variety of file formats. You get 1 GB of internal memory, plus you can expand the memory on this phone. So that you have enough room to store your files you get an 8 GB microSD card included in the box.
Staying in touch with your friends and family is easy with the BlackBerry 9500 Thunder, as you get text messaging, multimedia texting, instant messaging, as well as email support. Another great feature is the easy access to social networking sites.
Some additional features of the Thunder 9500 include a 3.2-megapixel camera with variable zoom, auto focus and flash. There is also a built in GPS system, and Documents to go for the busy professional.
The battery life of the BlackBerry Thunder is rated for 6 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time. This isn’t too bad considering the many features of this smartphone.
It’s difficult to say that the BlackBerry Thunder is actually better than the iPhone, but it is certainly good competition.
