HTC Desire HD Review

The HTC Desire HD is an update to the Desire. This is an advanced Android smartphone that comes with some excellent hardware, as well as a number of great features. The Desire HD is slightly large, measuring 123 x 68mm, and although it is still pocket friendly, it could be a tight fit.

With the HTC Desire HD you’ll get an attractive smartphone that comes with a large, 4.3-inch touchscreen, which is one advantage to the phone being bigger than the HD2. This is one of the largest displays available on a mobile phone, and it provides the user with a crisp and colourful picture so it’s wonderful for surfing the web and viewing video.

A couple of the features that you get with the HTC Desire HD include an updated SenseMe application, as well as the updated Android system. With this phone you can download themes that can completely change the look of the interface. For connectivity the Desire HD comes with high-speed data transfers, WiFi, as well as Bluetooth and Assisted GPS for navigation.

For storing files the HTC Desire HD features 1GB of onboard storage but you can expand this up to 32GB with a microSD card. Another feature that is sure to make the Desire HD a popular choice is the built in 8-megapixel camera, that can also record video in high definition. With this camera you get duel LED flash, as well as a number of photo settings.

You will find that when you are using the many features that come with the HTC Desire HD you will experience little if any lag thanks to an improved processor. The call quality that you get with this phone is excellent; even when using the speakerphone, callers sound loud and clear. With average use you will likely have to recharge the battery on this phone at least once a day, possibly even more frequently. This isn’t really unexpected when you consider the extra large display that you get with the Desire HD.

There is no doubt that the HD Desire is a fantastic Android smartphone, with the only real problems being the large size and short battery life. When you compare HTC Desire HD to other phones within the same class, you’ll probably fall in love with this device.
