HTC Hero Graphite Review

The HTC Hero Graphite is an Android phone that really makes use of what the Google operating system is capable of. There are so many personalization options included with this device that at first it may be a little overwhelming.

Some of the nice features that you get with the Hero Graphite HTC include a GPS system that will actually let you know what the weather is in your current location as soon as you switch on your phone. This is just one example of how the Hero can make use of the new HTC interface to ensure that the phone works for each individual user.

The HTC Hero grey is slightly tall, measuring 112x 56.2 x 14.35mm and at 135g, it’s not the most lightweight smartphone available. Although the HTC Hero Graphite is a little large for a mobile, you do get some great extras, such as a 3.2-inch screen.

With the Hero Graphite HTC you get a 3G device that gives you some incredible download speeds so surfing the Internet should be fast and easy. Along with a great GPS system, you also get WiFi connectivity, which is always a welcome addition with any mobile phone.

Some of the extras that you get with the Hero include several home screens and numerous widgets, such as feeds from Twitter and real time weather reports. You even get a widget that will let you know when you have incoming email. Another feature included with the HTC Hero Graphite is a built in, 5-megapixel camera that will also shoot video. The photo quality is fair, but some pictures have a washed out look.

For surfing the Internet the HTC Hero Gray comes with a mobile web browser that provides support for flash so that you can watch streaming video right from your phone’s browser. If you want even more applications than what’s onboard, you get access to the Android Market so you can download as many apps as you want.

Along with viewing video you also get a nice music player so that you can listen to your favorite tunes when on the go. The one problem that you might have with the Hero is that it doesn’t offer a great battery life; with average use you will have to recharge the battery about once a day.

If you have been holding out for a great Android phone, the HTC Hero Graphite is one of the best to date. The Hero isn’t perfect, but it is a high quality phone that offers good performance and a lot of features. The Android phones just keep getting better; the HTC Graphite Hero is evidence of this.
