The HTC Hero is a stylish smartphone that is easily comparable to an Apple iPhone. With this touchscreen phone you get numerous features that make using it a pleasure. The HTC Hero offers a great address book that even links to Facebook. This phone uses a tweaked version of the Android operating system, and you’ll find that some of the changes are really fantastic.
The Hero makes social networking with your mobile effortless. It can integrate your Facebook and Gmail with your address book, which makes organizing all of your contacts quick and simple. Along with the contact information for your friends, this phone will also show your friend’s photo next to their information.

One improvement you get with the HTC Hero Android phone is that it features multi-touch, which makes it easy to zoom on photos, but unfortunately you can’t zoom on Google Map. The one problem that does come with the zoom feature is that it will only zoom into the middle of the page. On this aspect the iPhone is much better.
Of course no modern mobile device is complete without tons of multimedia features and the HTC Hero is no different. With this phone you get a 5-megapixel camera that can take some great pictures if you have sufficient lighting. The photos do not come out as well in low lighting. There is a video camera as well, and although it takes acceptable video, it won’t replace your stand-alone camera.
The HTC Hero is a smartphone that offers a smooth experience and even some things that you won’t find on iPhone. The biggest problem with this phone and why it cannot yet outdo the iPhone is that it lacks speed. If this phone were just a little faster it would definitely be better than an iPhone.
