HTC Touch Diamond 2

HTC Touch Diamond 2 Review
The HTC Touch Diamond 2 is a new version of the original Diamond, which was one of the best selling mobile phones that offered Windows Mobile. Like it’s predecessor, the Diamond 2 is a sleek and stylish handset that offers the user many of the most popular features, but still maintains its elegance.
With the HTC Touch Diamond 2 you get a very powerful mobile that features 512 MB of internal memory with the option of expanding that memory by way of the phone’s microSD slot. The front of the phone is dominated with a large, 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen of 480×800 resolution. This phone supports quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 with dual band UMTS 900/2100 with HSDPA, as well as HSUPA.
Some additional features you’ll find included with the HTC Touch Diamond 2 are an assisted GPS system, as well as WiFi, Bluetooth, and support for USB. There is also a built in FM radio, and you also get screen rotation so that you can view the screen in the correct position, no matter what position the phone is in.
The HTC Touch Diamond 2 also comes with a 5-megapixel camera that does have auto focus but lacks any type of flash. The camera can also record video, which is always a great feature. For video calling you get a secondary camera on the front of the phone.
The interface of the HTC Touch Diamond 2 is easy and fun to use. One feature that makes using this phone especially easy is the communications screen, where you have access to all of your communication features. For browsing the Internet it comes with Opera Mobile 9.5; this browser makes it easy to do just about anything online with your mobile as you could do with your home PC.
Although you do not get a preinstalled video player with the HTC Touch Diamond 2, you can install a mobile video player to enable quality video playback. Taking pictures with the included camera does produce quality photographs, but it is necessary to be very still while snapping the picture or you will end up with blurred photos. The battery life of this handset is fairly average; with standard use you will likely need to recharge the battery about every two to three days.
Aside from a few problems, such as no physical camera button and the lack of included accessories, the HTC Touch Diamond 2 is a very nice mobile phone that offers some great high tech features. The HTC Touch Diamond 2 price is fairly costly for the unlocked version, but you might be able to get this phone at a discount on contract if you can find the right HTC Touch Diamond 2 deals.
