HTC Diamond Touch Review

The HTC Touch Diamond is basically a Windows Mobile business device that is also a mobile phone. With this phone you get TouchFLO 3D, which is easy to use and more practical that the previous Touch model by HTC.

Now you can surf the web easily with the preinstalled Opera Mobile 9.5, and when you add the Wi-Fi capabilities of the HTC Diamond Touch, surfing the Internet from your mobile phone is even that much better of an experience.

The HTC Touch Diamond comes in a fantastic design that is truly amazing, and will have you wondering how they could pack so many features in a phone this compact and thin. On the front of the Diamond Touch is a 2.8” touchscreen that will not only work with a stylus, but also in instances where the user is wearing gloves. This is great if you are outdoors during cold weather and need to use the touchscreen on your phone. With this screen you will have a smooth experience, and viewing graphics and pictures is also a great experience as the display and colors are crisp and sharp.

A few of the extras that you’ll find with this phone include a large clock, an attractive and simple user interface, as well as an organizer and a weather tab that makes it easy to find out what the latest weather forecast is for your area.

Sending messages is also simple with the HTC Touch Diamond. There is support for both SMS and MMS, and users can set up personal, as well as corporate email accounts. You also get a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus, in addition to a forward facing VGA camera for video calling.

The camera that comes with the HTC Diamond Touch takes great pictures that are crisp and clear, and it also produces good color. Unfortunately the video recording capability of this phone isn’t quite as good as the still camera, but for a phone video camera it is probably better than average.

In addition to all of these features the HTC Touch Diamond also has a music player that supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, WAV, and AMR, but there is no 3.5mm jack so you would be restricted to miniUSB headphones, but these are included in the package. Some nice extras with this mobile phone are its FM radio, and the YouTube video player.

For memory you get 192MB DDR SDRAM and 256MB ROM, and 4GB of internal storage, but there is no microSD slot. The sound quality of calls on this phone is very good, and it is rated for 5.5 hours of GSM talk time or 4.5 of WCDMA.

The HTC Touch Diamond is a very impressive smartphone that comes in an even more impressive compact design, but there is some room for improvement, especially with the music player.
