HTC Touch Pro Review
The HTC Touch Pro is certainly one of the best mobile devices on the market today, and it can help you take your business to a new level, even while you are on the go. This phone has an amazing sophisticated look that offers HTC 3D TouchFlo interface, but along with this you get numerous features that can help you stay productive, while you keep in touch with your business contacts.
With the HTC Touch Pro you get some great mobile tools including Windows Mobile 6.1, EV-DO Rev, and WiFi, as well as GPS. This smartphone expands on the features offered with the HTC Touch Diamond, plus includes a full QWERTY keyboard along with some additional extras that you will really enjoy.
Although the HTC Touch Pro is definitely one of the better mobile devices marketed for business users, there are a few problems with this phone, most of them within its design. The Touch Pro is a little bigger and heavier than some mobile phones; it measures 4-inches by 2-inches, and is 0.7 inch deep, weighing 5.3 ounces. This may be a little bulkier than what some people may want, but it is a good idea to keep in mind that it does offer a full slide out QWERTY keyboard. Aside from the slide out, the Touch Pro very closely resembles the HTC Touch Diamond.
Some of the extras you’ll get with this phone include an accelerometer, although it will only work in certain applications, such as when you are viewing pictures, video or the Internet browser. You also get a 2.8-inch, touchscreen featuring 262,000-color display. Some additional features that come with the HTC Touch Pro include speakerphone, voice dialing and commands, as well as speed dial, and of course text and multimedia messaging.
You will also get a great Internet experience with this phone; if you don’t like the Internet Explorer Mobile that comes with the Touch Pro, it also comes with the Opera Mobile HTML Web browser, which does tend to offer a better browsing experience.
The HTC Touch Pro has built in GPS navigation that works with Google Maps. You also have the option of signing up for another GPS service as well. Entertainment is a big part of today’s mobile devices and the HTC Touch Pro doesn’t lack in this area at all. You get a media player that supports AAC, MP3, WAV, WMA, MPEG-4, and WMV file formats. You will also find that this phone allows you to view streaming video from YouTube.
Despite the design problems with the HTC Touch Pro, and the fact that it can seem a little slow at times, the many high quality features of this mobile phone far outweigh these problems. If you are shopping for a new high performance mobile phone to use for your business but don’t want to spend a lot of money, you may be able to find some great HTC Touch Pro deals on the Internet.
