HTC Wildfire Review

The HTC Wildfire is an attractive mobile phone that has some resemblance to the HTC Desire, though it is smaller. This compact handset measures 106.8 mm x 60.4 mm x 12 mm and features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen that includes multi touch input, and accelerometer sensor for automatic rotation.

With the Wildfire HTC mobile you get support for 3G, high speed Internet access, and support for GPRS Class 10 and EDGE Class 10. In addition, this phone offers Bluetooth connectivity. The Wildfire runs off of the Android 2.1 OS so you will also get access to Google services.

One problem that becomes obvious as soon as you start using the Wildfire HTC is that it doesn’t seem to provide quite enough power to run some of the applications. There is some sluggishness when running Friendstream, as well as a few of the other applications.

Some additional features that come with the HTC Wildfire include a built in 5-megapixel camera that features auto focus, smile detection, as well as LED flash. The camera that comes with the Wildfire can record video, as well as take still photographs. The photo quality is probably about average for a mobile phone, with the video quality being a little better. Even with the additional photo modes, pictures tend to look slightly out of focus.

The entertainment features of the HTC Wildfire don’t stop with the camera and media player, you also get support for social networking, including Twitter and Facebook. For storing all of your media files you get 512 MB of internal memory, plus you can expand the phone’s memory up to 32 GB with a microSD card. With so much storage, you should be able to take your entire music collection with you wherever you go.
