LG GW620 Review

With android phones becoming so popular, it is not surprising that LG would also put out an android phone. The first of these types of phones for them is the LG GW620. This is fun and compact mobile phone that features a full QWERTY keyboard with buttons that are big enough that it’s actually simple to use.

The LG GW620 comes with a 3-inch display that includes HVGA resolution and support for 262k colors. This phone runs on runs Android version 1.5 with a personalized interface. Some of the applications that come with the GW620 include access to Social Networking including your Facebook, Twitter and Bebo accounts.

The camera that comes with the LG GW620 is decent; it includes auto focus and other photography modes. The picture quality is fair, depending on the lighting conditions and the subject you are photographing. The camera does come built in with LED flash, but unless the lighting is very dim, there does not seem to be a lot of difference in the pictures taken with and without flash.

One noticeable problem with the LG GW620 is that it seems to have a lot of lag, especially when using features such as the camera or browsing through multimedia. So if you are looking for a phone that is good with multitasking, you will likely be disappointed with this new phone from LG.

The battery life for the LG GW620 is rated for 8 hours of talk time and roughly 25 days on standby, though if you are a power user, you can expect that you’ll have to recharge your phone more often.

Aside from its great keyboard, there is really nothing about the LG GW620 that stands out from the competition. If you want an android phone you would probably be happier with one of the others that are available now. If all you are really interested in is a phone for sending text messages there is no doubt that this is a good phone, but it really has nothing else about it to recommend it.
