KF300 LG Review
For those looking for a reliable phone, the LG KF 300, offers that and more.
In a world that seems that it must constantly be pushing to come up with the newest and most trendy gadgets available, it’s nice when a mobile phone comes on the market that is simply a straightforward product that does what it says it will do.
This stylish flip phone is perfect for those who want a compact phone, but still have a sizable keypad, along with more control over features like font. Though some flip phones can have keypads that are small and disappointing when it comes to actually using them, this isn’t the case with the LG KF 300 mobile phone.
Aside from those phones that are aimed at the elderly and people who have eyesight problems, this flip phone offers one of the largest keypads you will find. There is no doubt that this extra large keypad eliminates frustration when it comes to dialing numbers and sending text messages.
Navigating the LG KF 300 is simple when compared to the problems that are encountered with some of the touch screen phones. You can easily get to your contact list, camera, and music playback with easy to find, shortcuts.
One of the drawbacks of the KF300 LG is its size. This phone weights 98g, with dimensions of 8mm tall, 49.5mm wide and 16.2mm thick when it’s closed. When flipped open it is about 180mm.
Though the size may be a little too large for some people’s taste, it has allowed for a large keypad, as well as more buttons located just below the screen; these buttons are shortcuts to some of the features of this phone. Just by pushing these buttons you can access the phone’s alarm system, calendar, a photo album, as well as the user’s favorites.
The screen itself is of average size, and above the screen area is the hands free speaker, which is an absolute necessity with today’s mobile phones.
Another feature you’ll find with the LG KF 300 is another screen on the front of the phone that displays the current time, as well as the number or contact of any incoming calls. The characters are extra large, making it easy to see.
Though you will not find the same sleek style with this phone as you will some of the more compact touch screen phones, it does do what it is suppose to do, and without a lot of trouble. This is definitely one of the easier to use, mobile phones.
With that being said, there are some drawbacks to this phone. The KF300 pay as you go phone does not have a great deal of data capability, and there’s no GPS or WiFi option, as well as no accelerometer.
Additionally, this phone only comes with 14MB of built-in memory, but it is possible to add a micro SD card if you would like to increase the phone’s memory.
If you do want to use the music playback feature of this phone it is necessary to put your music into a file you create on your micro SD card called Sounds in order for the KF 300 to find the files.
Along with music playback, this phone also has a camera, as well as some web surfing capabilities, though the process is slow, and not exactly a great experience.
This phone is good if you are just looking for a basic phone and don’t care too much about all the extras.
