LG KF310

LG KF310 Phone Review
The LG KF 30 mobile phone is an entry-level phone that gives you lots of features and style, without the high price of a flagship model. Though this phone isn’t quite as stylish as the KF510, there are still some great features that consumers are sure to love.
This slider phone is lightweight and small, though it isn’t as small as other phones in its class. Measuring 17mm, this phone is constructed of plastic but is fairly sturdy, and its sliding mechanism moves easily.
With only a 2” screen that displays in only 176×220-pixel resolution, it is adequate for most people’s needs.
Located below the screen of the LG KF310 phone is a standard set of navigation keys, including the selection and call keys.
After sliding the phone open you’ll discover a 15-button keypad, but the buttons are somewhat small, making typing out phone numbers or text messages time consuming, as well as frustrating.
The LG KF310 mobile also comes with a 2-megapixel camera, but don’t expect any extras with this phone camera. It doesn’t come with flash, or a self-portrait option. It does come with USB and a micro SD slot.
This is an entry-level type phone, but for a prepaid mobile the LG KF310 does have some features that you may not expect. This phone comes with 3G, which is great if you intend to use it for the web; plus it also supports Java applications. This means that you can use this phone to interact with Google Maps, as well as Yahoo Go, and the Opera Mini web browser.
Though the LG KF310 Black doesn’t offer a lot of extras with its camera, like many of the more expensive phones, it does feature two cameras. The second camera is located above the screen and is used for video calling.
This phone supports up to 40 MB of data with its internal memory, but the memory is expandable, as it does come with a micro SD card slot. By adding extra memory to the LG KF310, you do have the option of adding music and video files. Supported files include MP3, WMA, AAC and AAC+, as well as video files, such as MPEG4, H.264 and WMV.
Due to the fact that the phone comes with a small screen of low resolution, it probably wouldn’t be too enjoyable to watch movies on, but if all you watch is short video clips, this phone will do just fine.
The sound quality of calls seems to be adequate, but sending text messages may be a challenge unless you have very small hands and fingers.
If you are looking for an affordable phone that offers some of the features of the iPhone and Blackberry, the KF310 will give you what you are looking for. This is a prepaid option that will give you a few of the extras, such as the video calling and 3G, but it isn’t going to give you the same usability and quality that you may find with the high-end mobile phones.
