LG Renoir KC910 Review

The LG Renoir is a touch screen mobile phone that features one of the best mobile phone cameras on the market today. This 8-megapixel, camera phone actually has the potential of taking the place of the digital camera, as it does offer high quality pictures, as well as some other really useful tools.

The design of the LG KC910 Renoir is definitely more defined then the Viewty; it features a touch screen that is behind a protective plastic case, and although this isn’t quite as good as the iPhone’s glass case, it does lend the image of quality to the Renoir.

When compared to the Viewty, the touch screen of the Renoir LG is far more responsive, but still not up to the same class and quality as the iPhone.  The screen is easy to use, featuring shortcut key at the bottom of the screen so that you can quickly open applications.

At the top of the touch screen you’ll find a widgets bar; the user can drag and drop applications to the main area of the screen. With these widgets you have fast access to a variety of information including the time of day, a notepad, etc.

In the back of the LG KC910 mobile phone is a camera, which is probably going to be one of the features that you use most. To take pictures, all you have to do is hole the phone sideways and snap the picture. Most pictures come out clear and crisp, with great color.

Some of the extras you’ll find with the Renoir’s mobile phone camera is a smile detection feature; with this option the camera will not snap a picture if it does not detect a smile on the subject’s face. There is also blink detection, which is a great tool that can help to keep from taking pictures of someone while they have their eyes closed.

Another great feature of the LG Renoir is its music player. With Dolby sound, you can experience some great music with this mobile phone; in addition you’ll find that the video player allows you to not only watch short clips, but also full-length feature movies. The video formats that are supported by the LG Renoir include DivX and Xvid files.

In addition to all of these fantastic extras you’ll also find HSDPA that provides fast mobile Internet, as well as built-in GPS that can be used in conjunction with Google Map.

Sending text messages with the touch screen is fairly easy using either a traditional mobile keypad with predictive text, or if you prefer, a full Qwerty keypad.

This is one of the best touch screen mobile phones released from LG, though it doesn’t quite provide the same quality as iPhone or others phones of the same class, it is very close. With a few improvements screen responsiveness, the LG Renoir could really be a top of the line mobile phone.
