Recent reports have confirmed that BlackBerry is to release its new smart phone later this year, and a couple of mobile network providers have already been confirmed as preparing to stock the new handset.

It was announced recently that BlackBerry is to release a new smart phone later this year, which means that consumers will be able to enjoy an even wider choice of high quality smart phones to suit different needs and budgets. The up and coming launch of the new phone was announced earlier in the week by BlackBerry, and has caused a flurry of excitement in the mobile phone world.

The BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be the first slider phone from BlackBerry, and boasts a range of features and benefits that will appeal to many different users. The Torch will have a 3.2 inch touch screen, and has a full, slide down QWERTY keyboard. The screen on the phone has been compared to those on a variety of other high end smart phones, and is said to be highly responsive and easy to use.

It has been reported that Vodafone will be stocking the BlackBerry Torch when it is released, and according to reports Orange UK has also now confirmed that it will be offering the new handset once it launches later this year. A short message from Orange said: ‘The new BlackBerry Torch 9800 smartphone with BlackBerry 6 will be coming soon from Orange UK. We will keep you posted with more details as we get closer to availability.’

The new handset will be able to compete with a number of other high end smart phones, as it offers similar features, including easy social networking access, smart design, and more.
