It has been reported that in the last three months alone the sale of Google Android mobile handsets have soared in the UK, with growth of around three hundred and fifty percent seen in the past three months.
Google Android based handsets appear to be enjoying huge success at present, with figures that were recently released indicating that sales of these Android based handsets have been soaring. According to reports the Google Android based handsets have enjoyed massive growth over the past few months.
Figures show that in the past three months Google Android based handsets have enjoyed growth of around three hundred and fifty percent. The massive growth seen with these Google Android based handsets has been driven by the rising number of high end smart phones that have come onto the market and that use the Android Operating System.
The increased sales mean that Google Android’s share of the market has also increased over the past few months, rising from three percent at the start of this year to an impressive thirteen percent over the past few months. Megan Baldock, an analyst with GfK, said: “The figures suggest an increasing number of consumers are now asking for Android handsets by name. Operating systems are no longer simply a by-product but a key selling point in their own right.”
There are now a number of different smart phone handsets available on the market that use the Android Operating System, and this includes Google’s own handset, which is the Nexus One. Other popular handsets include the HTC Desire, the HTC Legend, and the Samsung Galaxy.
