One of the latest smart phones to hit the market the HTC Desire has already acquired a following of keen mobile phone users, but demand for the handset seems to be leading to delays.
Smart phones have enjoyed great success over the past couple of years, and since the Apple iPhone swept the country a rising number of people have become keen to get their hands on similar gadgets. This has led to an increase in the number of smart phones coming onto the market, with a range of manufacturers now launching high tech, feature rich handsets that come with all the bells and whistles.
The HTC Desire is one of the newest smart phones to hit the market, and already this phone has managed to acquire a following of people that want to get their hands on it. However, whilst a number of carriers are going to be dealing with the HTC Desire high demand for the handset could be causing delays.
This was reflected in a recent Twitter message from the mobile network provider Orange, which saw its PR Manager, Conor Maples, write: “HTC Desire fans: high demand is equalling delays in getting stock across all our channels. Working to fix this as a priority. BIG apologies, I’d expect that the website will show stock over the weekend/ early next week.”
The HTC Desire is a stylish and modern smart phone running on the Android operating system. Many people believe that the handset will prove to be a serious competitor for the Google Nexus One, partly because the Nexus One is only available through the Google website whereas the HTC Desire will be available through a number of mobile network providers as well as resellers.
