iPhone to come to Vodafone from mid-January
By Jo Wilkes on 22nd December - No Comments

It has been announced that the network provider Vodafone is set to start selling the popular Apple iPhone from the middle of January 2010 bringing the wait to an end for anxious Vodafone customers that are keen to get their hands on this smart phone.

Many consumers that are with Vodafone and did not want to or could not switch to another provider may have been disappointed to hear that whilst Vodafone was now one of three network providers that had signed a deal with Apple to sell the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS it was also the last of the provider that would be selling the device.

Mobile network giant O2 has been selling the phone for some time, having signed an exclusive contract with Apple originally. Apple then signed contracts with two rival providers, Orange and Vodafone, recently. Orange has already started selling the Apple iPhones and enjoyed great success with them.

It was announced at that time that Vodafone would not be selling the device until next year, and for those that have been eagerly awaiting a date from the network provider the wait is almost over. Vodafone officials have announced that the Apple iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS will go on sale as of 14th January 2010, so eager consumers only have a few weeks to wait before they get this smart phone from the provider.

Supermarket giant has also jumped on board with the Apple iPhones, and this means that once Vodafone start selling the phones consumers will have more choice than ever given that a year ago these devices were only available from O2. Consumers will be able to shop around for the best deal from the various providers, which can boost their chances of getting one of these smart phones as part of a really competitive deal.
