According to a recent report when it comes to banking via mobile phone the group that seems to be embracing this technology the most is owners of the Apple iPhone in the UK.

People manage their finances and bank accounts in a range of different ways these days, with many enjoying increased convenience and ease when it comes to financial management and running their bank accounts. One of the ways in which people can manage their bank account these days is via their mobile phone, which provides them with ease and convenience, enabling them to access their account where and when they need to.

According to a recent study a rising number of people are becoming more comfortable with mobile phone banking but the group that most seems to embrace this method of banking is owners of iPhones in the UK. Over two thousand UK adults were polled as part of the YouGov survey, which was carried out on behalf of Intelligent Environments.

The survey results showed that around twenty one percent of Brits would use their mobile phones to pay bills if they were able to, twenty five percent said that they would use their phones to transfer funds, thirty six percent would check their balances on their phones, seventeen percent would pay other people and thirteen percent would make contactless payments.

However, with iPhone owners the figures were higher with forty six percent stating that they would pay bills, sixty two percent stating they would transfer funds, sixty nine percent checking their balances, forty five percent paying other people and thirty one percent making contactless payments.

James Richards, director, mobile, Intelligent Environments, said: “As consumers grow to be more comfortable with mobile advancements and purse strings tighten due to harsher economic conditions, it is no surprise that financial management has moved up Britons’ agendas and the number looking to access banking services via a mobile phone is on the rise.”
