Which provider will sell the most iPhones?
By Rob Webber on 6th October - No Comments

With three mobile network giants now signed up to sell Apple iPhones the race is on to see which of them is most likely to sell the most iPhones next year.

Until recently there was no competition at all with regards to the sale of the highly popular Apple iPhone 3G and Apple iPhone 3GS, and this is because there was only one mobile phone network provider that was able to sell these devices, and this was O2. The mobile giant had exclusivity to sell the popular Apple gadgets, but recently this has all changed.

Two more mobile phone network providers are now going to be selling the Apple iPhone range, and this is Orange and Vodafone. This has sparked a race to see which of the providers will sell the most iPhones next year, as consumers that are looking for an iPhone find themselves with a far greater choice when it comes to providers.

Vodafone will not start selling the iPhones until early next year according to reports, and Orange will start selling them later on this year. There is now speculation over which provider will sell the most iPhones next year, and at present the favourite to win seems to be Orange, which after merging with T-Mobile has become the UK’s biggest mobile phone company.

Whilst O2 may retain the monopoly in terms of sales over this coming Christmas period due to the other providers starting sales later in the year or next year it is highly likely that this trend will change next year when consumers will be able to shop around rather than relying on just one provider for the iPhone.
