According to a recent report the number of mobile phones being upgraded in the UK each month has come close to the one million mark, with gadget hungry customers looking to upgrade to the smartest new phones.
It has been reported recently that the number of mobile phones that are being upgraded each month in the UK has reached nearly one million, and this is as a result of tech savvy mobile phone users being keen to get their hands on the latest mobile phones and handsets.
With so many new and improved mobile phone devices coming onto the market on a regular basis consumers that want to upgrade to the latest handset certainly have plenty of choice, and this has sparked a surge in the number of people that are now upgrading their handsets so that they can benefit from the latest model. Prices are also very competitive, with a range of deals available to make it more affordable for mobile users to upgrade.
As well as showing the increase in mobile phone upgrades the report also showed how the number of people recycling their old phones has risen, with consumers that are getting new phones using one of a range of mobile phone recycling sites, and even getting some money in exchange for the phone. Consumers who are recycling their handsets should make sure that they shop around as the amount paid for the phone can vary from one site to another.
“The customer is the real winner in all of this. The average amount paid out last month to customers who traded their phones through our site was £60. But people should shop around carefully for the best deals – we often find a difference of £70 or £80 between what websites are offering for some phones.”
