With the smart phone having become the must have gadget of the year Motorola has now joined the rate race with the introduction of its Motorola Dext, which is already fast gaining popularity.

Over the course of this year the smart phone is a gadget that has become increasingly popular, with ever demanding consumers wanting a gadget that does so much more than just make calls, send texts, and looks sleek and shiny. Whilst the smart phone that most people will be familiar with is the still popular Apple iPhone, a number of providers have now launched rival smart phone devices, with the latest coming from the mobile manufacturing giant Motorola.

Known as the CLIQ in the United States this phone has been enjoying success across the pond, so it is little wonder that it has already gained something of a fan base over in the UK under the name of the Dext. The phone is available exclusively through the Orange network at present, and consumers can get their hands on it for nothing if they take out a twenty four month contract with Orange costing £34.26 per month.

Sporting an Android platform, the smart phone is sleek, stylish, and boasts a slide out QWERTY keyboard for easy operation. It also boats a range of other features that you would expect from an innovative, modern phone, including a high quality camera and video capabilities, built in MP3 player, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, digital compass, GPS, and more.

The phone also has the ability to integrate various communications such as emails and social networking, and this is through the use of its specialist feature called Motoblur. Many people think that the Dext is already making an impact in the smart phone market, and could quickly become one of the hot favourites amongst smart phone fans.
