Mobile phone recycling has become increasingly common amongst consumers in the UK, and according to a recent report the most recycled smart phone is the Nokia N97.

Over the past year or two an increasing number of consumers have come to realise that recycling their old mobile phones is something that is not only good for the environment but also something that is good for their pockets. More and more people have started to recycle their old phones, which means that they have to put up with less clutter in the home and can make a little money whilst they are at it.

In the past many people that built of a collection of old mobile phones in the home used to simply throw them out in the rubbish, leaving them to end up in landfills. However, a number of companies are now in operation that recycle these old phones, and even pay the sender up to one hundred or one hundred and fifty pounds for their old phone.

A recent report has revealed that one of the most recycled smart phones at present is the Nokia N97, which can fetch over one hundred pounds with some recycling companies. In fact, the Nokia N97 is the only modern smart phone that appears in the list of the top twenty most recycled phones, and officials believe that this is because this particular model has held its value well.

Unsurprisingly the Apple iPhone 3G did not appear in the top twenty list, as there are not many people that are yet willing to get rid of this popular handset, and the more updated Apple iPhone 3GS was not even in the top fifty most recycled phones.
