O2 encourages mobile phone recycling
By Rob Webber on 29th January - No Comments

The mobile phone recycling sector has seen enormous growth over the past couple of years, and one mobile phone giant is now providing further encouragement to consumers to recycle their mobile phones.

Over recent years the mobile phone recycling sector has really taken off, and with the industry providing increased awareness over the benefits of recycling old mobile phones more and more of us have been ensuring that we send off our old phones for recycling rather than leaving them festering in the home or throwing them out with the rubbish.

There are many incentives available now for those that take the time to recycle their old mobile phones. Consumers are able to get a fair amount of cash for their old phone in some cases, and there are also companies that offer High Street vouchers instead of cash. In addition to getting a financial incentive the consumer can also help the environment by recycling their old mobile phone.

One mobile giant, O2, is providing another incentive to encourage consumers to recycle their old mobile phones. Consumers can go to the website, which is O2 Recycle, and recycle their old phone even if they are now with O2 as their network provider. This will make it quick and easy for users to recycle their old phones.

In addition to making it easy to recycle old phones O2 is allowing anyone that buys a new upgraded phone from the site to enjoy a discount of ten percent on the cost if they also turn in their old phone at the same time. Any model of phone will be accepted by O2 as part of this scheme.
