Mobile phone customers with network operator O2 can now enjoy location based deals on delicious food from the fast food eatery Subway as part of their ‘O2 More’ service

Like many other mobile network operators, O2 has been launching a range of different incentives and deals to hang on to loyal customers, enabling them to enjoy discounts, special treats, great deals on a range of purchases, and more as part of their plan with the mobile network operator.

Now customers that are part of the ‘O2 More’ service with O2 can enjoy great discounts on delicious food from the fast food eatery Subway, which offers a range of subs and fillings that can be eaten at any time of the day. This is part of the ‘You are Here’ location based service and is a discount voucher that can be scanned via customers’ smart phones or internet tablets.

The vouchers can be redeemed in stores all around the UK, and customers simply need to scan their internet enabled device in order redeem the voucher and get some money off. The technology involves geo fences that are set up in subway stores, which means that when eligible customers enter the store and go to the target area, they automatically an MMS voucher.

An official from O2 said: “Subway has a great attitude to mobile and partnering with such a recognisable brand that is devoted to contactless technology has allowed us the chance to offer this industry first in voucher redemption. Completing the whole customer journey by being able to offer redemption figures to our clients is an important breakthrough for O2 Media.”
