With more and more of us becoming increasingly environmentally aware many more people these days are keen to recycle their mobile phones and various other gadgets, which might otherwise end up being thrown out in the rubbish and end up in landfills around the country. With this is mind there has been a sharp increase in the number of companies that are able to recycle old mobiles and other gadgets, making it easy for consumers to do their bit for the environment and even earn a little extra cash.

One of the latest companies to jump on the recycling bandwagon is communications giant Orange, which has launched a new scheme called the Recycle and Reward Scheme. Under the scheme consumers will be able to recycle old mobile phones that they have lying around the house, as well as other gadgets such as music players and laptops.

Consumers will be able to take their gadgets to Orange stores, and will receive cash in return for many of the gadgets that they recycle, which will come in handy for many in the current financial climate.
