Mobile phone customers that are with the mobile network provider Orange have seen red after suffering intermittent transmission problems in the Marlborough area.
It has been reported that hundreds of mobile phone subscribers that are with the mobile provider Orange have been seeing red because intermittent transmission problems in the area have left them with an unreliable mobile service. In fact, according to mobile phone retailers in the area some people have even been leaving Orange to go to other providers as a result of the problems with network reliability.
The breakdown of transmitters coupled with delays in repairing them as meant that mobile phone users that are trying to use the network in the area are experiencing real problems, which is causing frustration for many. An official from Carphone Warehouse said that many people have been into the branch looking to switch to another provider because of the delays in fixing the Orange problems, which were leaving them high and dry. He said: We have had customers telling us Orange has said their phones will not be back on until June 30. A large number of people have been in to buy new phones or sim cards because they rely on their mobile phones and cannot get Orange currently.”
In a recent statement Orange said: “We can confirm that customers in an area to the east of Marlborough are experiencing intermittent problems with Orange network coverage. This is the result of local environmental changes which have affected the local mast. Our technical team are trying to improve network coverage for customers to reduce any disruption and we would like to apologise for any coverage problems experienced by our customers.”
