Release of Sony smart phone delayed
By Rob Webber on 9th December - No Comments

According to reports the release of a Sony smart phone that some may have been hoping would be out in time to be on their Christmas lists has been delayed until January of next year.

Smart phones are extremely popular handsets amongst those that want a mobile phone that offers a vast range of features and benefits, and there are now a number of rival smart phones on the market, many of which will undoubtedly appear on the Christmas wish lists of many people. However, one smart phone that some people may have been hoping to get their hands on for Christmas is set to be delayed until early next year, which will disappoint some people.

It has been reported that the Sony Ericsson smartphone Xperia X2 will now not be launched until January of 2010, and whilst the delay is not a particularly long one it will mean that the phone misses out on the Christmas sales surge, and that consumers that wanted the handset will miss out on finding it wrapped under the tree on the big day.

The phone was set to be released this month, but reports have now claimed that confirmation of the delay until January has been received. The news comes at a bad time for Sony Ericsson, which has seen another popular smart phone, the Sony Ericsson Satio, taken off the shelves as a result of software problems. Another of its handsets was also said to be experiencing software issues, and this was the Aino.

When the Sony Ericsson smartphone Xperia X2 finally does get its release in January, providing there are no further delays, those that decide to buy this handset will benefit from a high resolution 3.2 inch responsive tough screen, an 8 mega-pixel camera, and a convenient slide out QWERTY keyboard, as well as many other features.
