Following the recent news by T-Mobile of its impending release of the LG Optimus One, which runs on the Android 2.2 OS, the South Korean mobile phone manufacturer LG Electronics has now officially announced that it has launched a number of new handsets in its Optimus range.
The new addition that is to be added to the T-Mobile range will be known as the LG Optimus One Navigation Edition, although the mobile provider gave no specific indication of when the new smartphone would be added to its existing range of handsets.
Information for customers to stay updated on the new handset like “pre-ordering, prices, plans and everything else you need for the LG Optimus One Navigation Edition mobile phone” will be made available to anyone who registers an interest in the product according to the mobile provider. It also advised that the coming soon page on the T-Mobile website would provide any additional information on the LG Optimus One Navigation Edition handset.
The official announcement made recently saw LG unveil both the LG Optimus Chic as well as the new LG Optimus One as the latest in its brand new range of mobile phones.
The new handset is expected to come with a wide range of new features including a capacitive 3.2inch touch screen display that will provide a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and will prove ideal for navigational applications when combined with its support for various LBS and built-in GPS receiver.
Also included on the specification list is a 600MHz internal processor, 170 MB of internal memory with support for up to 32GB of additional memory using a microSD memory card, a 3 Megapixel camera with autofocus, a 1500mAh battery and support for HSDPA 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity.
