By Rob Webber on 20th September - No Comments

News from the mobile network provider T-Mobile has provided information on the cost of the new HTC Desire HD smartphone in the UK for users looking to avoid having to sign up for a monthly contract and opt for the SIM free option instead.

An announcement that it will be selling the HTC Desire HD in the UK and will be stocking the handset from October 2010 has been made by the UK mobile network provider T-Mobile.

The HTC Desire HD is expected to be available for free on either a £35 per month or £40 per month contract, although no firm confirmation has been given by T-Mobile which has also been unable to provide an exact launch date for the new smartphone either.

Among the various features on the new HTC Desire HD is a 4.3 inch LCD display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system and an 8 Megapixel built-in camera with a dual LED flash that is also able to record HD video at a resolution of 720p.

Also included on the HTC Desire HD is full support for Dolby Mobile, 802.11n Wi-Fi and HSPA+ connectivity as well as this smartphone being the first handset of its kind to launch with the new HTC Sense that will allow it to make use of the services on the HTCsense.com website.

At the moment users will be able to register their interest in the new HTC desire HD handset in order to receive the latest updates on the device, although it is possible that this new smartphone will soon be available from the various other mobile network providers on a range of both monthly contracts or on a SIM-free deal.
