It has been announced that festival goers in the UK who find that their mobiles run out of juice will be able to charge them up for free courtesy of Vodafone.
With the festival season coming up in the UK thousands of people will be getting geared up to hit the festival grounds to see their favourite bands and enjoy the electric atmosphere. Many of these people will be going armed with their mobile phones, but for some the disappointment of their phone running out of juice is likely to cause disappointment and inconvenience.
The good news is that, thanks to Vodafone, festival goers will now be able to charge up their phones for free. This is thanks to the Vodafone recharging truck, which will be making its way around a number of festivals being held this year and has the capability to recharge up to two thousand mobile phones at the same time.
According to reports you can recharge a range of handsets using the service but you do have to be a Vodafone customer to get the service for free. The Vodafone truck will be painted in Union Jack colours, so festival goers will be able to see it a mile off. For the many revellers who are hoping to be able to capture their favourite moments on their mobile phone cameras and post them on Facebook the service will prove invaluable.
Those wanting to charge their phones will need to hand them over to staff at the Vodafone truck who will check that the customer is on the Vodafone network. If so, the customer will receive a ticket to come and collect their phone as soon as it has been charged.
