Mobile broadband provider, Vodafone UK has announced that it will soon be launching two new Blackberry handsets, the 9780 and the torch 9800, to its range in order to bring in fans of the Blackberry.
The two new Blackberry smart phones should soon be appearing in its range but for now Vodafone has added the Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 as part of Research in Motion to its existing selection of handsets.
The Blackberry Torch 9800, which was made official recently, comes with a sliding form factor, is installed with the latest Blackberry 6 OS, and will be one of the new phones to come from RIM.
At the moment there has been no announcement of an official release date for this new handset although it has been rumoured that Vodafone UK should be launching the Blackberry phone around the middle of September.
Even though there was little success when the handset was released on the AT&T network in the US it is likely that various other carriers throughout the world will be providing their users with this device at some point in the near future.
The rumoured launch of Blackberry 9780, or the R020 as it is also being referred to, was leaked on the internet recently and will be the next in line of the two Blackberry phones that are expected to be launched by Vodafone UK very soon
There has been no information provided about the actual release date for the Blackberry 9870 but it has been found that the device is very similar to the Blackberry Bold 9700 in terms of its specification. The handset comes with a 2.4 inch HVGA display, is powered by a 624MHz processor, has 512MB of internal memory and comes with a QWERTY keyboard. It is also expected that the device will come with a 1500mAh battery and a built-in 5 megapixel camera along with the new Blackberry 6 OS.
