If you have never owned one of the new Wi-Fi mobile phones you may not be aware of the many advantages of owning one of these mobile phones. Those who use their mobile handsets as their main source of communication will greatly benefit from the mobile phones with Wi-Fi. Using a mobile phone for everyday communication needs can get very expensive, even when you are on a good calling plan, but if you have one of the Wi-Fi enabled mobile phones, you can save a lot of money on your phone calls.
If the calling plan you have with your network provider gives you a certain amount of minutes each month, you could easily save on how many minutes you use for phone calls if you have one of the mobile phones WiFi enabled. Mobile phones with WiFi will automatically connect into a WiFi system anytime you are near one; this can save you countless minutes on your calling plan. Even if your calling plan provides unlimited amount of talk time, you are probably paying a very high price for this service, but if you have a WiFi enabled mobile phone, you could change your calling plan and save a lot of money.
In some cases if you want to use mobile phones with WiFi in this way you may be required to pay a small extra monthly fee, but this is usually much less than what you would pay for extra minutes, or for an unlimited calling plan. This makes even more sense considering how many places you can connect to WiFi today. Nearly all businesses and most homes have a WiFi connection now, which is different than it was only a few years ago when it was difficult to get a connection on WiFi enabled mobile phones. Back then it may not have made much sense to have one of these mobile phones, but today it definitely does.

Of course there are a couple drawbacks to the Wi-Fi enabled phones. The first is that although there are many places where you can get a Wi-Fi connection, there are of course going to places where there isn’t one. Another problem is that mobile phones with WiFi may also require a router, if the phone doesn’t already have one.
All in all, there are few drawbacks and many advantages to mobile phones with WiFi. Best of all, today you can easily find cheap WiFi mobile phones.
