Nokia 3600 Slide Review

The Nokia 3600 Slide is a stylish and nice looking phone; in fact, its design is probably one of its most attractive features. The 3600 Slide is made from glossy plastic, stainless steel, and soft rubber. The 3600 Slide comes in a two tone color scheme that include black and magenta.

This phone features a 2-inch color display that provides a sharp picture, though in direct sunlight it isn’t as clear. Considering the fact that the Nokia 3600 Slide is a low-end phone, the display really isn’t bad at all.

When you are carrying around the 3600 Slide it will definitely look as if you have a very expensive phone, but when you start getting into features you’ll quickly see the difference. You’ll find that this handset does not have WiFi, and features only quad-band GSM network support, plus there is no 3G data service. Although there is no built in GPS, you do have the option of buying a Bluetooth GPS receiver and using it in combination with the Nokia 3600 Slide.

Even though the music player on the Nokia 3600 isn’t magnificent, it is probably more than adequate for most; the music player supports MP3, WMA and AAC file formats. You’ll find that this mobile handset is a little short on internal memory, but there is a 512 MB microSD memory card included when you purchase the 3600 Slide.

Another feature of the Nokia 3600 Slider is a 3.2-megapixel camera, which comes with auto focus and duel LED flash. Although most phones that come with these camera specs tend to work fairly well, the camera included with this Nokia handset has some problems. When taking pictures, the auto focus does not seem to work, and the result is blurry photos.

The battery life of the Nokia 3600 is rated at 5.5 hours of talk-time and 280 hours standby time. The battery is not great, but good for a low-end phone. With average use you can expect to recharge the battery about every 3 days.

Most of the features of this phone work adequately enough, including call performance, but with the camera having so much trouble, you may want to consider looking at another brand of phone. It would seem that the price for the Nokia 3600 Slide is fair enough, but you might have to compare it to what you would spend on a mobile phone that does not have a camera.

If you are still interested in purchasing this phone there are plenty of vendors that offer some good Nokia 3600 Slide deals if you want to spend some time shopping around. Another option to think about if you are considering purchasing this handset, is looking into a Nokia 3600 Slide contract with a mobile service provider.
