Nokia 5230 White Review
With the 5230 launch, many people are looking for a Nokia 5230 White review so that can see what Nokia is up to with this new mobile handset. This phone from Nokia is a touchscreen, mid range mobile handset that is basically the same size as the 5800 XpressMusic, but there are some differences.
With the Nokia 5230 White you do not get WiFi, plus it only comes with a 2-megapixel camera. Some of what you’ll find that is the same as the Nokia 5800 includes its 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen, featuring a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, plus the Nokia 5230 comes with a built in FM radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack, in addition to a microSD card slot. Although the camera on this phone is a downgrade from what you get with the 5800 XpressMusic, it does take some fairly good video.
The operating system that you get with the Nokia 5230 White is Symbian S60 5th Edition and to power this phone you get a 1320 mAh one that gives you about 33 hours of music play. Some fun extras you’ll get with this mobile phone include Ovi Maps, as well as some built in social networking features such as Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube.
Despite Nokia downgrading some of the features of the 5800 with the release of the Nokia 5230 white, you do still get some great features with this phone. Some of what you can look for in this handset includes, micro-USB connector plus USB 2.0 high speed, 3G featuring HSDPA 900 / 2100, plus accelerometer that is used to auto-rotate the image on the display screen to accommodate the position of the phone. In addition, you also get some great music features along with the availability of video and games from the Ovi store.
On the phone’s touchscreen display you get a QWERTY keyboard, which makes sending text messages fast and easy. Along with GPS there is 3D work and the aerial imaging, which are features that make using this phone even more fun. Of course you also get Bluetooth technology.
Some of the drawbacks of the Nokia 5230 White include the lack of WiFi, plus the camera does not produce high quality images. Another problem that some people may have with this phone is that the GPS does not come with voice-guided navigation.
The Nokia 5230 does offer some great features despite its lack of WiFi and camera quality. Music lovers and those who like to stay connected through social networking will no doubt like this phone, plus it is a very reasonably priced handset, especially if you can find some great Nokia 5230 White deals with your local mobile service providers.
