Nokia 5310 Review
The Nokia 5310 XpressMusic is a fun and attractive music phone that is a music lover’s best friend. This is a basic mobile phone that offers great multimedia, plus some good messaging features.
With the Nokia 5310 you get a thin, candy bar style phone that measures 4.1 X 1.8 X .4 inches, and weighs only 3 ounces. As thin as it is, the 5310 mobile phone still feels very solid in your hand. On the front of this handset you get a 2-inch, 320-by-240-pixel display, and although the screen isn’t huge by today’s standards, it does provide a colorful and bright picture.
The audio quality of phone calls is great, and the speakerphone comes through loud and clear. To listen to music the Nokia 5310 comes with a standard 3.5mm headset jack, in addition to support for Bluetooth stereo. Another fun feature of the 5310 is voice dialing; once you read the names of your contacts so that the voice dialing can accurately detect what you are saying, you won’t even have to dial any of the numbers on your contact list.
Some additional features of the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic include email support for web based email as well as POP3; there is also support for Instant Messaging. To send instant messages you can use AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo. You will also get a web browser, though it does not perform well on full HTML sites so it is best to stick with the mobile sites if possible.
Although you do get a 2-megapixel camera with the Nokia 5310, it really does not take very good photos. Most of the pictures will either be blurry or bleached out; unfortunately the video recording capabilities of this camera are not any better. The built in camera on this Nokia handset is very disappointing so if you are looking for a good camera phone this is definitely not the phone you want.
The Nokia 5310 is a good mobile if you are looking for a basic phone for communication and to play music on; its nice looking and does perform well in these areas. Of course this is a budget phone but it is still a little disappointing that it doesn’t have such features as 3G and WiFi.
The good thing about the Nokia 5310 is that it is very inexpensive, with some providers offering significant discounts when you sign a contract. If you are looking for Nokia 5310 deals, check the Internet to see which provider is offering the best deals on this phone.
