Nokia 6220 Classic

Nokia Classic 6220 Review
The Nokia 6220 Classic is a candy bar style phone that is 3G HSDPA network capable. Like most Nokia phones, the 6220 Classic has a lot more to it than it looks like it has. This phone is designed to be sleek, but still functional with a curved shape. It has a solid build, but is still fairly compact, weighing only 90g.
With the Nokia 6220 Classic you’ll get a 2.2” screen with 16-million QVGA color at 320 x 240 pixel resolution. Along with this, the 6220 features the Symbian S60 3rd generation OS interface, which is easy to use, though it may be somewhat sluggish at carrying out commands.
Unfortunately, there is only 120 MB of internal memory, but there is a microSD slot that will allow you to expand the phone’s memory up to 8 GB. Though the battery is sufficient in most cases, it probably could be better. You will get approximately 150 minutes of talk time, and 250 hours of standby time.
For fast Internet speeds, you’ll find that the Nokia 6220 Classic features 3G, as well as a full web browser that supports HTML, XHTM, and TCP/IP connectivity.
If you are interested in a mobile phone that has a good camera, you’ll find that the 6220 Nokia features a 5-megapixel camera that offers such extras as Carl Zeiss optics, and Xenon flash, as well as a media gallery, and easy MMS photo-sharing capabilities. You’ll also get video playback, as well as the ability to record video in VGA format. In addition to these features there is also another video camera for video calling.
Some additional features you’ll get include built in assisted GPS with geotagging capabilities as well as the highly versatile Nokia Maps software. There is also an FM radio, voice recorder, and a basic digital music player that supports most common music file formats.
Although the Nokia 6220 Classic comes with Bluetooth capabilities, there is no Wi-Fi, which can be a major drawback. The major selling point of the 6220 is the built in camera, which is very nice, but hardly a reason to by a mobile phone when you can simply buy a digital camera and a good phone.
Some of the extras that come packaged with this phone include a hands-free headset, a TV-Out cable, and a USB cord.
If you do want a great camera phone and don’t mind just having the basics for your mobile device, both the contract 6220 Nokia and the Nokia 6220 Classic pay as you go are good choices. The price of this phone is also not too unreasonable, but again, if you are just looking for a good camera, you may want to consider another option and get a better phone.
