Nokia 6700 Silver Review

With the Nokia 6700 Silver you won’t get a fancy smartphone that will cost you hundreds of dollars, but what you do get is a solid phone that is great if your main purpose of having a mobile is to make phone calls, or send text messages. If you are looking for innovation you won’t get it with the Nokia 6700 in silver, but it is a beautiful phone that is a pleasant reminder of a time gone by, when mobile phones were simple and easy to use.

The Nokia 6700 in silver is produced with a stainless steel casing that helps to make this handset more durable, but it does tend to attract fingerprints. This phone runs off of the Nokia S40 operating system, and although there are a few changes to the interface, it is still easy to use.

On the front of the Nokia 6700 Silver is a 2.2-inch screen that provides a bright and clear picture, you’ll love the way your photos look on this display. Along with a nice screen the 6700 comes with a built in, 5-megapixel camera with an included LED photo light. The picture quality isn’t the best you could get with a mobile phone camera. The colours seemed washed out, but aside from this the quality is probably what you would expect from a mid range camera phone.

For connectivity you do get 3G but there is no WiFi, which is a disappointment. For surfing the Internet there is the Nokia web browser, along with the Opera Mini browser; both work great for viewing web pages though a lot of people tend to prefer the Opera Mini. One problem that you will have when surfing the Internet is that the 2.2-inch screen is a little small for viewing web pages.

Some additional features that come with the Nokia 6700 in silver include a music player that sounds great, though this phone doesn’t offer a standard headphone jack. One nice feature is that you can use USB to download music files to your phone from your PC. Along with the music player there is a built in FM radio, which is always nice if you like to listen to talk radio while on the go. To store all of your music files you can expand the memory of the Nokia 6700 Silver up to 8 GB. With noise cancellation technology included with the 6700, you can hear callers loud and clear, with little background interference.

If you are not worried about having all of the latest technology on your phone, then you will like the Nokia 6700 Silver. With this phone you get all the basics in a high quality handset that does what it is supposed to do. Finding Nokia 6700 Silver deals is easiest if you take your time and search the Internet for what is being offered.
