Nokia E72 Review
The Nokia E72 is a nice update to their traditional candy bar designed phone; it includes a QWERTY keyboard and an optical navigation key. With the optical navigation key there is more intuitive scrolling through menus, e-mails and images.
This new handset from Nokia is a slim and compact mobile that has a lot to offer users. With the Nokia E72 you get email, as well as instant messaging making this a great phone for both personal and business use. This new mobile has many of the great features of the E71, but Nokia has expanded and improved on those features.
The Nokia E72 has several updates from the E71; you’ll find that this new mobile phone runs S60, 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, plus you get improved software for messaging. Some other changes you’ll notice include a 5-megapixel camera, and the keyboard has some changes as well. Of course there is the optical navigation key and now there is a 3.5mm audio jack.
The upgraded operating system on the Nokia E72 has provided for more speed, and it helps to conserve battery power. The update in messaging software gives you a lot of options for keeping in touch with friends and family through instant messages. You’ll find that this phone has completely integrated Nokia Messaging and Mail for Exchange. There is also support for multiple email accounts, plus you have access to web based email such as yahoo mail, Gmail, etc. In addition, the E72 features Ovi Chat, which is the Nokia chat program, plus you get support for Yahoo Chat and Google Chat.
Along with staying in touch, with the Nokia E72 you can stay productive, even when you are away from your office. There is an upgraded version of QuickOffice that allows you to view and edit Microsfot documents such as Word and Excel. Nokia has also increased the internal memory from 110 MB to 250MB. You get faster connection speeds and Ovi store comes preinstalled on the new Nokia E72.
Like the E71, the Nokia E72 comes with GPS; they have added the newest version of Nokia Maps, as well as a compass to compliment this phone’s GPS features. With all of these upgrades you will also find that this new handset has better sound quality, likely due to the addition of noise cancellation technology. Calls are crystal clear and sound great.
