Samsung S5600v Review

The Samsung S5600v is a nice looking touchscreen mobile is a mid-range phone that offers 3G HSDPA connectivity and many other extras that make this phone worth bearing in mind if you are in the market for a new handset. If you like the Samsung Tocco Lite, you’ll like the Samsung Blade S5600v, as it offers many of the same features, plus 3G.

The Samsung S5600v comes in a very eye catching design with elegant curves that make it easy and comfortable to hold in the palm of your hand. On the front of this handset there is a 2.8-inch 16-million color QVGA, which is just slightly smaller that comparable, phones released by Samsung.

With the Samsung GT-S5600v you get the TouchWiz touchscreen user interface, which offers support for widgets on your home screen and easy access to many of the phone’s features, including music and video player, an FM radio as well as Google Maps, in addition to a 3.2-megapixel camera with LED flash. You don’t get WiFi with the Samsung Blade S5600v, but it does offer high-speed data transfer with HSDPA.

With 3G, you will get a rich web browsing experience with the Samsung S5600v, not only can you surf the Internet at speeds that are unusual for a phone in this price range but you also get the ability to zoom in on web pages by simply using the volume control rocker. Plus you can view the web pages on full screen; in addition there is an integrated accelerometer that keeps the picture right side up, no matter what position the phone is in. In addition to being able to download web pages quickly, the web browser supports flash so that you can view streaming video on sites such as YouTube.

Some fun features that you’ll find included with the Samsung S5600v include a weather widget so you have constant access to weather forecasts, plus you get widgets for Google tools. You will also have access to social networking sites such as Facebook, Photobucket and MySpace as well as Friendster to that you can easily share your photos with friends and family when you are away from home. This phone is highly focused toward multimedia features so the battery life is fairly good, but could be better. You will get under 4 hours of talk time, but you do get 350 hours of standby time, which is not too bad at all.

Some of the drawbacks of this phone include the lack of GPS, WiFi and there is no QWERTY keyboard option, but this is an easy to use mobile that offers some great multimedia features. The Samsung S5600v is a good, stylish phone for a budget handset and may possibly even be able to get this phone for free with some contract deals being offered.
