With the Samsung Galaxy Apollo you’ll get a candy bar style phone that is sleek and stylish, plus offers all of the most popular features that you would expect from a smartphone of today. This handset is marketed as being an affordable mobile phone that offers some great high-end features.

On the front of the Galaxy Apollo is a protective glass cover that gives this handset a high tech, futuristic look. In addition, there is a large touchscreen that is not only beautiful, but also very responsive and easy to use. Although the finish on this phone is very attractive, it does attract fingerprints and smudges so you will probably spend a great deal of time keeping it polished and clean.

With the Samsung Galaxy Apollo you’ll get an interface that incorporates TouchWiz 3.0 features so it is fun and easy to use. Those that like social networking will be particularly fond of the home screen, as there are widgets that give the user easy access to updates from social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

Due to the fact that the Galaxy Apollo is an Android smartphone the contact system is the default Android system. Some additional features that you get with this phone include text and multimedia messaging, as well as easy access to a variety of different types of email accounts, including Gmail.

Placing calls on this phone is quick and easy, the dialer keypad magically appears when you access your contacts. Call quality is good; voices sound natural and come through loud and clear, even when using the speakerphone. Browsing the Internet is also nice; the included browser supports multi touch so you can zoom into web pages.

For media features the Samsung Galaxy Apollo comes with a 3.2-megapixel camera, and though the camera does include auto focus and zoom, there is no flash. Along with taking still photos, this camera will also record video. Like all camera phones that do not come with flash, the quality is acceptable if photos are taken in good lighting, but will be poor if the lighting is too dim.

With the Galaxy Apollo you can watch YouTube videos, plus there is a built in music player to help keep you entertained. The video playback is fairly good; the player will support DivX.

Along with staying entertained, the Samsung Galaxy Apollo does come with some business tools to help you stay productive; this handset comes with ThinkFree Office suite, which supports Microsoft documents. In addition you will also get some great connectivity options including WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
