Samsung Galaxy S Review

The Samsung Galaxy S is an Android phone that has been getting a lot of attention. There are a few different reasons why the Samsung S Galaxy is so popular, and among those reasons is that it comes with an improved processor, as well as an advanced display known as Super AMOLED.

One of the most attractive features of the Samsung Galaxy S is its beautiful 4-inch screen that offers a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The difference between an AMOLED display and a Super AMOLED display is that it is brighter, and uses less battery power. This is a touchscreen display that works wonderfully; it is sensitive to touch, and is visible even in direct sunlight. If you like to watch video on your mobile, you’ll absolutely love the Galaxy S, pictures are sharp and displayed in brilliant colour. Another nice feature of this phone is that you can watch HD quality video.

Though the Samsung Galaxy S comes with a large screen, this mobile is still fairly compact and thin, measuring only 9.9 thick and it weighs a mere 118g. Although this phone is thin, it is a touch wide and long.

Some of the features that come with the Samsung S Galaxy include a high speed Internet connection with HSPA, plus you get WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. Another extra that comes with this phone is a built in FM radio, which is great if you have a favorite radio program that you don’t want to miss when you have to be out and about.

Of course as this is an Android phone you will also get all of the great Android features including Gmail. There is also support for Microsoft Exchange, a web browser and a Flash plug-in. The Galaxy S also offers easy navigation with the TouchWiz interface.

For watching streaming video there is an application for YouTube, plus it is easy to add on social networking apps. You can easily integrate your Facebook and Twitter contacts into your contact list. Some additional applications that come with the Samsung Galaxy S include ThinkFree Office, which allows you to view and edit documents, plus there is a Social Hub where you can easily access your social networking accounts.

The built in camera that comes with the Samsung Galaxy S takes some great pictures, colours are vivid and the photos are sharp. The video camera also performs well. Call performance with the Galaxy S is great, and other apps work well too, including the browser, and media player. The battery life for this phone isn’t too good; with average use you will likely have to recharge about once a day.
