Samsung Genio QWERTY Review
The Samsung Genio QWERTY is a mobile phone that’s main focus was intended to be a messenger phone, in the Genio series. Unfortunately, this may not be one of the best phones for sending text messages and email, despite of the fact that it comes with a QWERTY keyboard.
The whole purpose of having a QWERTY keyboard is to make typing out email and messages fast and easy, but you will find that the Samsung B3210 Genio QWERTY doesn’t make it all that easy or fast to send messages due to the design of the keyboard itself. The problem with the keyboard is that the buttons are too flat and close to each other, which makes finding the keys you need a little difficult, at least without having to look down and see what keys you are hitting.

Sending messages on the Samsung Genio QWERTY will definitely take some getting used to, but this may be impossible if you don’t have small fingers. Of course having an inadequate keyboard may not be enough of a reason to bypass a particular mobile phone, but if that is the main reason you are thinking of purchasing the Samsung Genio QWERTY, you may want to reconsider.
Some other flaws with the Samsung B3210 Genio QWERTY that are worth mentioning is that it has limited memory of only 40 MB; by today’s standards this is not near enough. To make up for this phone does offer support for microSD cards, which may help with storage, but it can be difficult if you have to store the applications you use on a flash card.
Not everything about the Samsung Genio QWERTY is bad news; it does offer an MP3 player with great music quality, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack. As a basic form of communication, this phone isn’t too bad; call quality and reception are good, aside from making phone calls, the phone itself is sleek and attractive.
There is no doubt that if you are looking for a mobile phone that offers messaging capabilities that are advanced, but easy to use, this isn’t the phone for you. Not only is the keyboard difficult to use, it really doesn’t have near the messaging features that you will get with many other types of mobile phones.
On the bright side is the fact that this phone is affordable, and there is even a Samsung Genio QWERTY pay as you go model, which will help you to keep the cost of your mobile service well within your budget. If price isn’t the main issue, you may want to consider a mobile such as the BlackBerry Curve and the BlackBerry Bold; both of these mobile phones are a better option for getting on the Internet, as well as sending email and text messages.
