Samsung Genio Slide Review
The Samsung Genio Slide is a mobile phone that is a match for phones such as the Nokia N900 and the Motorola Milestone, except that the Genio Slide is generally less expensive. With this phone you get a slide out QWERTY keyboard, an extra camera for video calling, and a microSD slot so that you can add extra memory when needed.
One of the best Samsung Genio Slide features is its thin design; this phone is thinner than the Nokia N900, though not quite as thin as the Milestone. Considering that the Genio Slide is a budget friendly mobile, the features you get with it are quite impressive. The keyboard is large and easy to use, which is great for those people that like to use their mobile to send text messages and email.
With the Samsung Genio Slide you get several personalization features; the newest edition of the Touchwiz user interface make it easy to manage the widgets on three different homescreens. You can even have a different wallpaper background on all three screens.
The low price of this phone is one of the major attractors, but there are some great features that come with the Samsung Genio Slide. You get a responsive touchscreen, along with access to 3G. The Genio Slide also comes with WiFi, Bluetooth, as well as a built in 3.2-megapixel camera with smile detection. Another great feature that comes with this mobile is Assisted GPS navigation; with this you can travel just about anywhere and never have to worry about losing your way.
For multimedia features you get a music player that supports a variety of file formats, including MP3, AAC and WMA audio files. In addition to the music player the Samsung Genio Slide comes with a built in FM radio. There are a number of sound options with this music player, and though the sound quality is great, it isn’t too bad either.
If you use your mobile phone for business purposes, the Genio Slide does come with Microsoft Exchange. Though this particular feature probably isn’t too attractive for the average user, it is good to know that you can use it to setup Gmail too. The photo quality you get with the built in camera is fair, though the camera doesn’t come with auto focus.
For browsing the Internet you get a fast connection, as well as a mobile web browser that offers flash support. This is great news if you like to stay connected to the Internet, even when away form your PC.
Although the Samsung Genio Slide reviews have been great, it isn’t a true smartphone like the Milestone or N900, but its very close. You can likely find some great Genio Slide deals if you do some research online for discounts.
