The Samsung i8510 is probably the closest phone you will find to a Nokia high end mobile, but with some extra features that you won’t find on a Nokia.

This slider phone is relatively large and solid compared to many mobile phones on the market today. The i8510 Samsung’s screen is really one of the better features of this phone, though the picture isn’t very sharp when viewing videos.

The keypad located beneath the screen is well laid out, and works good for surfing the internet, but its sensitivity may become a problem for other uses, unless you have small fingers.

One of the best features of the Samsung i8510 is its 8-megapixel camera. This phone camera is of decent quality for a mobile device; it has an automatic lens cover that doesn’t open until the camera mechanism is activated. One problem with this camera is that it does not come with a good flash; instead there is only a dual LED photo light. Although it will work well for close up shots, you’ll not get very good photo quality for long-range shots in poor lighting conditions.

Aside from this small disappointment with the camera featured with the i8510 Samsung, there are some really great options that do come with this camera including, auto-focus, panorama mode, facial recognition, as well as smile recognition. With smile recognition, the camera will automatically take the picture when it detects the subject is smiling.

Like the LG Viewty, the Samsung i8510 can take slow motion video, which is great when you are trying to catch the details during action, such as a football game or concert. Even in low lighting the slow motion video takes some good footage.

The i8510 features 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded by adding a memory card. In addition there is a built in GPS system that works well with Google maps. The user will also find that it’s easy to download needed software, such as a web browser, and games.

The Samsung i8510 also features HSDPA and Wi-Fi as well as the ability to play DivX movies, which is useful if you want to bring along movie files that are not too large. You’ll also find that this mobile phone offers an FM radio along with all the other extras.

There is no doubt that the Samsung i8510 is one of the best mobile phones available today. Not only does it offer a very solid design, but also there are definitely a lot of high-end features with this phone.
