The Samsung Jet has been said to be even better than a smartphone due to some of the advanced hardware this phone has beneath its, compact and elegant design, such as its 800MHz processor. With the Jet you get a 3.1-inch screen in a tiny, 108.9 x 53.5 x 11.9mm frame; plus it is extremely light, weighing only 110g. With such a compact design this is a handset that will be easy to carry around with you and will fit well in your pocket or handbag.
Despite the Samsung Jet S8000 being so small, it does offer plenty of features, including a full QWERTY keyboard, and a camera that offers duel flash. The user interface is an updated version of the TouchWiz 2.0 that uses the 3D cube style application selection.
The call quality of the Samsung Jet is great, plus you get a good phonebook system that is easy to navigate through. Sending email and text messages is simple with the QWERTY keyboard which is very accurate. The only problem is that you won’t have auto correction if you do make a mistake. There is also a handwriting recognition feature, but it is a little difficult to use.
Email is available with this phone for both POP3 and Google Mail, but it not too easy to setup. If you are someone that likes to stay connected to the web, the Samsung Jet offers a web browser that is easy to use and quick. You will be able to stay in contact with friends on social networking sites, shop online, etc.
Another great feature of the Samsung Jet is its 5-megapixel camera that has built in duel LED flash. The duel flash will make taking pictures in dim lighting easier, but because it is a LED flash, the colors may not come out quite as brilliant as you might like. With this camera you also have the ability to record video, and for a phone camera it does a great job. Of course it isn’t likely that the video recorder on the Jet will take the place of your camcorder, it certainly works well enough if you need to take video at unexpected times.
Viewing video on the Samsung Jet is great; the color is brilliant and the picture clear. Although you may want a bigger display for movies, it does a good job for video clips. In addition to a video player you will also get a basic music player, as well as a built in FM radio. In addition, you can also play games on this phone, which is always a plus if you find yourself with nothing to do.
Some additional features include GPS and Bluetooth technology, plus much more. If you are looking for a great phone at a reasonable price you will like the Samsung Jet. This phone is less expensive than many iPhone models, and if you can find some Samsung Jet deals you may even get this phone for free on contract.
