C510 Sony Ericsson Review
There is no doubt that the Sony Ericsson C510 is not the flashiest phone in the Sony lineup of mobile devices, but it is still a great looking phone that offers a range of solid and useful features.
The Sony Ericsson C510 Cybershot offers a good quality mobile device and camera that is easily affordable for most everyone. This is Sony’s first camera phone to offer face detection, though this mobile phone is not marketed as having a lot of new features, but more as a solid quality mobile device.
Although the C510 Sony Ericsson is pushed as being a camera phone, the camera is fairly basic. The C510 features a 3.2-megapixel camera, which does include face detection technology, as well as smile detection. With these features not only will the camera focus on the face you want to take a picture of, but the device will not snap the picture until it detects that the subject is smiling.
The main problem with this camera is that there is no xenon flash, just an LED photo light. Because of the lack of flash, photographs taken in low-level lighting may not be of very good quality.
The interface of the Sony Ericsson C510 Cybershot is user friendly, making this mobile phone easy to use, without all the hassle of spending hours trying to understand how everything works. With this phone, all the features are clearly labeled and all of the functions are very easy to understand.
Although the C510 Sony Ericson isn’t a smartphone, it does come with many of the same features you may find with a smartphone. With the C510 you get GPS, as well as preinstalled Google Maps. Together with the GPS system, the phone also features geo-tagging.
The Internet features of the Sony Ericsson C510 are also very nice. You can surf the Internet, as well as have feeds sent right to your mobile. You can even set up your mobile phone to update feeds automatically, or opt to update manually.
The media player that is built into the C510 Sony Ericsson provides great quality sound; in addition you also get an FM radio. The device also provides a feature that allows the user to view You Tube video clips, though the video quality is not the greatest.
There are a lot of mobile phones on the market that promise to do everything except walk your dog; needless to say most of these phones don’t live up to their hype. With the Sony Ericsson C510 Cybershot you get a good, but basic mobile phone that does offer a lot of features. Best of all, this mobile does do what it says it will do.
