Sony Ericsson C902

C902 Sony Ericsson Review
If you are looking for a mobile phone that takes great pictures, you won’t be disappointed with the Sony Ericsson C902. This mobile features a 5-megapixel camera that also includes face detection and auto focus.
As for being elegant, some of the most recent releases from Sony Ericsson are exceptional in design. The C902 is not only stylish, but also slim, measuring just 11mm. At the same time, when you are holding this phone in your hand it is easy to tell that it is a solidly built mobile device.
When you slide the phone open it reveals a camera lens, as well as eight touch buttons. These buttons give you access to all of the camera features that are built into to this phone. These features include, flash, scene modes and face detection.
The one problem that you will find with the camera on the C902 Sony Ericsson is that it does not offer xenon flash; instead it has LED lighting.
For music lovers there is an onboard music player that is very similar to the company’s Walkman series of mobile phones. Additionally, there is a good set of earphones that come with this mobile that actually provides good sound, and this is not often the case with many mobile phones.
There is a fairly large memory capacity of 160 MB of internal memory, but this isn’t enough to store all of your music and photographs, the user has the option of expanding the memory with M2 memory stick cards.
You’ll also find that with the Sony Ericsson C902 there is a secondary camera on the front, this is provided so you can use the phone to make 3G video calls. In addition, with HSDPA you get quick Web downloads; plus there is Bluetooth technology for wirelessly transferring of pictures and other data to your compatible devices, such as your PC or laptop.
The only real problems with this phone is that it does seem to show some lag, especially when opening the camera or using the screen. This isn’t terribly noticeable, but it’s there.
Although the C902 is marketed as being a replacement for your digital camera, this is not likely to happen due to the lack of flash with the camera. There is no doubt that it is a good camera, just not as good as a stand-alone digital camera.
The price is right with this mobile phone if you sign up for the Sony Ericsson C902 pay monthly plan you may even get it for free.
The Sony Ericsson C902 is a nice looking phone that has a lot of features, but is still easy to use. If you do want a great camera, you can’t go wrong with the C902, though it wouldn’t be a good idea to use it as a replacement for your regular digital camera.
