The one thing that Sony is known for is their fantastic camera phone, and with the Sony Ericsson C905 you may just be able to dispose of your digital camera, as this mobile phone is hyped as having one of the best cameras available on a mobile unit.
Although most mobile phones today have cameras, they still resemble mobile phones; with the Sony Ericsson C905 it is exactly the opposite. This phone looks more like a camera, than a phone.
Aside from the fact that the C905 resembles a camera, another noticeable difference from other mobile phones is that it is larger. This will likely be a turn off for many users, but there is an advantage to its size.
Taking pictures with an extremely small mobile phone can be awkward at best, and this is likely why the C905 Sony Ericsson was designed to be a little larger than other mobile phones in its class. This phone is actually much easier to take pictures with.
Although it isn’t the most high tech appearing mobile that Sony Ericsson has released, it is very easy to use. The keypad is well designed to allow ease of use, without all the problems that are sometimes associated with the slicker looking phones.
There is no doubt that the camera was designed to be the main selling point of this mobile phone. Although the camera doesn’t offer a lot of bells and whistles like other phone cameras, it is a very high quality device that produces extremely good pictures, even in low light settings.
You do get a fast auto focus, as well as xenon flash, in addition to a built in accelerometer for viewing pictures, no matter which position the phone is in. Into the bargain, there is the ability to tag pictures using the built in GPS.
The one problem with the camera of the Sony Ericsson C905 is when sending the picture with the provided Bluetooth technology, it is necessary to view pictures in the gallery, as you cannot do it in the camera viewer.
Transferring pictures to the web or sending them over email is quick and easy with Wi-Fi and HSDPA. Browsing the web is also easy if you download the mobile web browser, Opera Mini. With this mobile web browser, it is much easier to view full web pages.
The C905 Sony Ericsson has 160 MB internal, but it is easy to upgrade the memory by means of a Memory Stick Micro slot that can hold up to 8 GB.
One drawback of the C905 is it does not offer great battery life; even with moderate use it is necessary to recharge at least every couple of days, but if you use the camera a lot you’ll have to charge it even more frequently.
The Sony Ericsson C905 is much like the Nokia N82. The C905 is no doubt one of the best camera phones on the market, so if quality pictures is important to you, this is definitely the mobile device for you.
