Sony Ericsson Satio Silver Review

The Sony Ericsson Satio Silver is the first phone from Sony that includes a 12.1-megapixel camera that can almost rival a stand-alone digital camera. If you like taking pictures with your phone camera, this is definitely a handset you’ll want to check out.

With the Sony Ericsson Satio Silver you get a lot of features, which is probably why its design is slightly larger than many of the mobiles in its class. The Satio is very sturdy, though a little thick and chunky. Being a little large may not be such a big problem when you consider all of the extras you get with this phone, such as a bright and colorful 3.5-inch 640×480 touchscreen, which is fantastic for viewing pictures and videos.

No matter what else this phone offers there is no denying that the highlight of the Sony Ericsson Satio Silver is its camera, which takes some wonderful pictures. No only does this camera do a magnificent job at focusing, but there is also a Xenon flash for taking night pictures. Taking photos at night is not quite as good as you will get some red eye, but for a phone camera the pictures are comparable to some digital cameras.

Most of the media features offered with the Sony Ericsson Satio Silver are accessible via the Xross Media Bar so getting to the functions you want is easy. The Satio comes with 128 MB of internal memory, plus the phone does come with an 8 MB mini SD card.

One of the drawbacks of this phone is that it does not come with a 3.5mm jack, which is surprising considering that multimedia is the main focus of the Satio. You can download games, books and more from the Sony Ericsson PlayNow Arena, but the downloads are slightly expensive.

One of the great things about the Sony Ericsson Satio Silver is your connectivity options, which include, WiFi, Bluetooth and HSDPA, plus this phone features aGPS and Google Maps.

If you are looking for a mobile phone that focuses mainly on multimedia then the Sony Ericsson is one of the first handsets you should look at. You get just about everything you need built into your phone so you can eliminate your GPS unit, your MP3 Player and digital camera, as well as camcorder. That’s not even including all of the other features that come with this phone.

You can have all of your gadgets in one small unit that slides into your pocket or handbag. It’s hard to ask for much more, but if a good deal is what you want try searching the Internet for some Sony Ericsson Satio Silver deals.
