Sony Ericsson W595

W595 Sony Ericsson Review
The Sony Ericsson W595 comes in a sleek design that is nice on the eyes. You can get the W595 in a variety of colors including, Jungle Grey, Active Blue, and Lava Black, as well as pink.
This mobile phone comes with a finish that has a somewhat rubbery feeling texture, which makes this phone easy to hold and use. The slider mechanism of this phone opens smoothly and is 130mm tall when opened.
The dimensions of the W595 Sony Ericsson are 100mm tall when closed, 47mm wide and 14mm thick, and weighs 104g. You’ll also find that this phone has a display of 2.2 inches, and though this isn’t too large, it is adequate for the features you’ll find with the W595.
The screen features 240 x 320 pixels and comes in sharp and clear. There is also a motion sensor that enables the picture on the screen to move according to which direction the phone is in. So if you view the screen upside down, the picture on the display will still be right side up.
Considering the fact that there is a lot of unused space on the front of the Sony Ericsson Walkman W595, it is a disappointment that the keys are so small. Sony could easily have made these keys bigger, but if you can get passed this problem, this phone is really great. The smaller your fingers the easier this phone will be to use.
One of the best features of the Sony Ericsson W595 is its YouTube connection. With this feature you can view videos on YouTube, as well as upload your own video right from your mobile phone. Viewing videos on the W595 is a nice experience as they come through clear and full of color.
Of course since this is a Sony Ericsson Walkman W595, music is going to be one of its core features, and of course you get some great sound from this handset. The W595 has a memory capacity of 40MB with a 2GB Memory Stick Micro also included. The specs on this phone indicate that the user will get nine hours of GSM talk and 385 hours on standby.
With the W595 Sony Ericsson you also get two cameras, one is a front facing camera for video calls, and the other is a still camera of 3.2-megapixels. Unfortunately the camera does not come with auto focus or flash, so taking pictures in dim lighting probably won’t return the best results. In good lighting the camera does have a tendency to overexpose.
Although the W595 is a mid range phone, it does offer a lot of extra features. Among the extras you’ll find an FM radio, and a unit converter, calendar, task manager, sound recorder, as well as a web browser. You’ll also find that the Sony Ericsson W595 has Google Maps, which is great when you are on the go and need to find a location.
All in all this is a nice mobile phone, and even though it does offer a great many extras, you can still find a cheap Sony Ericsson W595, and possibly even free with a contract.
